Chrikar, the biggest importer/distributor of food ingredients for the HORECA sector in Cyprus, was acquired by Argosy Trading Co Ltd, an importer/distributor of branded food products for supermarkets. Advised Chrikar in negotiations and deal structuring after securing an EOI from the buyer. The initial payment was €5 million plus €800K holdback paid one year later. The acquisition opened up the HORECA sector for Argosy, which, prior to the transaction, was only dealing with branded food products for the retail market.
