Hervé de Kergrohen, MD, MBA, is an experienced general manager, life sciences venture capitalist, and board director with an extensive background in the global healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Medical doctor (Maxillo-Facial Surgeon) educated at Strasbourg and INSEAD MBA graduate, he brings a unique dual expertise in clinical medicine, executive leadership, and institutional investment. Over his career, he has led multiple pharmaceutical and medtech companies through critical turnarounds, stock exchange listings, and strategic M&A transactions across Europe and the US.

As an executive and venture investor, Dr. de Kergrohen has served as CEO and President for platforms such as Ateka Tx, Anavex Life Sciences, and Praxim SA, while also advising life sciences funds and family offices including Alpha Blue Ocean, CDC Innovation, and Midi Capital. He has founded major investment platforms—such as Global Biomedical Partners (a CHF 200M fund) and the ECLOSION incubator—and managed public equity funds at UBS and BB Medtech.

Additionally, through SMI and ABL SA, he has facilitated cross-border transactions connecting European medical innovations with Asian markets. In his role as an independent board director, Dr. de Kergrohen has guided numerous biotech and medical device companies through IPOs, dual listings (Nasdaq, Euronext, Swiss Exchange), and trade sales (e.g., AXS Medical, Immune Pharma, GenOway, Clearant, Hythiam, Kuros).
