Gary is a dynamic executive leader with a strong foundation in finance, operations and strategic management across sales, marketing and product development. He has a proven track record in global expansion, organizational restructuring and high-impact leadership across the sportswear, safety & tactical gear and retail sectors, and has done business in more than 40 countries, with a base in the Netherlands and South Africa and active experience in the USA, UK, the Middle East, China and India.

He is currently Partner at weACT, an audit and consulting firm, where he leads interim management, M&A due diligence and valuation advisory, board-as-a-service and business turnaround mandates, alongside a current consulting Exco role at Freedom of Movement. He previously served as CEO Africa across HI-TEC, Magnum, Interceptor, Duca del Cosma and Trappers, steering multi-brand growth and market expansion across the continent and tripling a 50-year mature business toward ZAR 1 billion, and as Director at HI-TEC / Magnum / Interceptor, where he built the safety brand from R40M to R100M in two years. Earlier in his career he held Group Controller and Finance & Operations Manager roles at Hi-Tec Sports International Holdings in the Benelux, and progressed from Assistant Accountant to Audit Leader at Deloitte.

Gary has worked on both the buy-side and sell-side of M&A transactions, including a due diligence process spanning close to 1.5 years for a Nasdaq-listed company. He holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Nyenrode Business University, together with executive certifications including the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme and CIMA (Operational Level).
